Pinoy Breakfast

Filipino foods are being made available in the UAE due to the increase in the number of Pinoys working there. But nothing beats the real taste of eating home food at your real home. Tastes way more better.

Intemtem or Tupig is a popular native delicacy from Pangasinan which is made out of ground glutinous rice and coconuts strips wrapped in banana leaves. It is coooked in charcoal instead of the usual steaming. A family friend travelled all the way to bring these tupigs.

The purple food is called biko. Biko is made of glutinous rice, coconut milk, and brown sugar is the ultimate snack or dessert. This classic Filipino rice is deliciously sweet, creamy, chewy, and gluten-free! They made a twist with this one by giving it a violet color.

Pandesal or pan de sal (Filipino and Spanish for “bread of salt”), is a common bread roll in the Philippines. It is made of flour, eggs, yeast, sugar and salt.
